What a long winter we have had! I am sure I am not alone in welcoming the sun back to the Pacific Northwest. With the sun comes a ton of fishing opportunities. The shop is full of terrific new products made to make your outings more enjoyable. Simms just released a new Vibram sole on their wading boots, designed to lessen the chance of spreading stream born diseases. These boots will work extremely well on our local beaches as well. Both Sage and Redington have come out with great casting 7’10” Bass rods, designed to throw big bugs long distances. A number of new books on fishing local waters have recently been released. Doug Rose has released an updated version of his “Fly Fishing Guide to the Olympic Peninsula”. Les Johnson has updated his popular “Fly Fishing for Pacific Salmon II”. Both must-reads for anyone wanting to fish local waters.
